Golf Course Rules  
   
  • A handicap limit of 28 for men and 36 for ladies will be applicable for the Championship Course. Handicap certificates must be shown at Reception. No proof of handicap is required for the Academy Course.
  • All players must report to the Starter 10 minutes before commencing play.
  • Starting times will be at 8-or 10-minute intervals at the discretion of DGC.
  • Each player must have their own bag with clubs. No sharing of clubs or bags is permitted.
  • Soft spikes are compulsory on the golf course at all times. No metal spikes are permitted. Tennis shoes will be permitted under special circumstances.
  • Appropriate golf attire is required for all players. Shirts with collars and sleeves are required. Shorts must be tailored Bermuda length, or golf trousers, or golf skirts. No sportswear or denim jeans are permitted.
  • Golf buggies may carry a maximum of two players and two golf bags. No one under the age of 16 is allowed to drive a buggy. It is strictly implemented that minors should be accompanied by an adult especially those who are still beginners. Only juniors with an established handicap and who are currently participating in tournaments can have access to buggy usage.
  • Buggies must stay on the paths when provided. Players should not approach within 30 meters of any green unless on the path.
  • Any person renting a buggy will be wholly responsible for any injuries or loss of life to himself or other parties as stated in the buggy rental agreement. Any persons renting a buggy will be wholly responsible for any damages caused by their actions and must reimburse DGC the full amount of any damages caused.
  • Members or Guests are not permitted to ride on the back of the buggies. Any person doing so will be wholly responsible for any damage to the buggy and/or any injuries to himself or other parties caused by their actions.
  • Doha Golf Club reserves the right to remove buggies from the courses at their discretion.
  • Buggies are subject to availability.
  • Please be aware of your speed of play. If your match loses one hole on the match ahead of you, you must immediately allow the match behind you to play through.
  • All golfers should rake bunkers, replace divots on the fairways and repair pitch marks on the green.
  • All players must follow the marshal’s instructions whilst on the course. DGC will remove players that do not adhere to the marshal’s instruction regarding rules and etiquette.
  • Course closure is at the discretion of DGC.
