Upcoming Course Maintenance

Dear Member

We would like to update you with some very important, upcoming Course Maintenance that effects both courses over the coming weeks.

By carrying out this essential work at this time of year, it will allow for minimal maintenance disruption throughout the cooler, playing season.

We appreciate your understanding during these course renovation works.

ACADEMY COURSE

Week Commencing Sunday 24th August

Fairways and Tees will be renovated on the Academy Course.  Works will consist of:

Verti-Cut at -5mm to remove thatch build up

Fairways and tees then cut, hollow cored, rubbed in, and excess material blown off these areas

These areas will then be top dressed with sand, vertically drained, and rubbed in again.

Week Commencing Sunday 31st August

Sunday 31st August – Course closed until 1400 hours:

Greens will have their final renovation before the playing season.  This will consist of

A light verti-cut and Top dressed with sand

Verti-drained, cored, and then cleaned up.  

CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

Week Commencing Sunday 7th September

Sunday 7th and Monday 8th September – Course closed all day

Greens will have their final renovation before the playing season.  This will consist of

A light verti-cut and Top dressed with sand

Hollow cored, rolled, Verti-drained, and then cleaned up.  

Fairways and Tees will be renovated on the Championship Course.  Works will consist of:

Verti-Cut at -5mm to remove thatch build up

Fairways and tees will then be cut and excess material blown off these areas

These areas will then be top dressed with sand, verti-drained, and rubbed in again.
