Golf Operations Update – Upcoming Competitions & Member Support
As we move through late February and into March, we are pleased to share an overview of the upcoming competition schedule and playing opportunities across both the Championship Course and Academy Course. With Ramadan scheduling in place and several new events and formats introduced, there is a strong and varied program ahead for all members.
Mid-Week Competitions – Championship Course
Our mid-week competition schedule continues to offer flexibility and variety, including:
Camel Run 9 & Members Draws
Monthly Medals (White & Blue Tees)
Ladies Competitions
Ramadan Eclectic
These competitions are designed to provide enjoyable and competitive golf throughout Ramadan while accommodating varied playing schedules.
Friday & Saturday Competitions – Championship Course
Weekend competition golf remains a highlight on the Championship Course with:
Monthly Medals and Stableford events
Megarme Monthly Stableford
Pairs and team-based competitions
Pairs Ramadan Cup featuring 2-Man Texas Scramble & 4-Ball Better Ball. 4 rounds best two rounds count towards lowest nett.

Please note Sunday’s include scheduled maintenance closures until 10:00am on weekly basis, as shown on the competition calendar.

Supporting New Competitions
With the introduction of new events and formats to the competition calendar, we kindly ask for the support of our members and golfers to help these competitions grow. Participation and feedback allow Golf Operations to monitor uptake, assess interest, and determine which events are worth continuing and developing long term. Your involvement plays a vital role in shaping the future competition program at the club.
Members are encouraged to get involved, try the new formats, and share feedback with the team.
Agronomy Update
The Championship Course is now closed as we enter the final preparation phase for the Qatar Masters, with official practice rounds commencing Monday 2 February.
The agronomy team is fully focused on final presentation, including foliar fertiliser applications, increased cutting frequency, and detailed fine-tuning of turf and surface conditions to ensure the course is presented at the highest possible standard.
The Academy Course remains open and is currently in excellent condition while we host the Qatar Masters. With increased play expected during this period, we kindly ask all golfers to be extra vigilant repairing pitch marks and replacing divots to help maintain playing quality for everyone.
Overall, both courses are in spectacular condition, and we look forward to presenting and showcasing Doha Golf Club at its very best in the coming weeks.

THE CAMEL RUN MEMBERS DRAW WINNER
Congratulations to Mr. Aaron Magee for winning the Camel Run Members Draw with a QR 8,000 prize
Please note that since we now have a Members’ Main Draw winner, the draw will restart after Ramadan with a main prize of QAR 5,000. The prize amount will increase by QAR 200 every week until we have a new winner. Mayfair’s Draw will continue as usual.

QATAR MASTERS 2026- UPDATES
QATAR MASTERS 2026 - KEY DATES & INFO
Get ready for the action! Here are important dates for the upcoming Qatar Masters:
Saturday, 31st January: Range closes from 2:00 PM.
Sunday, 1st February– Sunday, 8th February: Academy courses open for Members only, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (no buggies).
Monday, 9th February: Course reopens fully – no restrictions!
EDUCATION CITY GOLF CLUB - PREFERENTIAL RATES DURING COURSE CLOSURE
ECGC have very kindly put together some preferential rates for DGC Members from 26th January - 9th February inclusive
Bookings can be made online, a maximum of 7 days in advance. Bookings can be made through www.ecgolf.com. From there, select the drop-down option and choose Doha Golf Club members, and make sure to enter the membership number when prompted.
